The UCF Business Incubation Program is a family of business
incubation sites in and surrounding the Greater Orlando. The incubators are
established to provide tools, training, infrastructure and much more to start-up
companies in the community.
Business incubation is a critical element of regional economic development
strategy. Studies show that 95% of companies stay in the community where
they are established. Incubator support greatly reduces the risk of failure
and 87-91% of companies that graduate from an incubator program are still in
business 5 years later.
Since its founding in Oct. 1999, the UCF Business Incubation Program (UCFBIP) has helped hundreds of emerging companies create a total regional output of more than $620 million and sustain over than 3,300 jobs with an average salary of $67,000. With eight facilities throughout the region, the UCF Business Incubation Program is an economic development partnership between the University of Central Florida, the Florida High Tech Corridor Council, Orange,
Osceola, Seminole and Volusia Counties, and the cities of Apopka, Kissimmee, Orlando, St. Cloud and Winter Springs.
