The Orlando Business Development Center/District
2 Incubator opened in December, 2007. A partnership
with the City of Orlando, the Center is a general
business incubator to support primarily non-technology
startups.

Jackie
Barton, MBA, CBA -
Site Manager
With over 20 years of business experience, she has
owned, operated and sold three businesses.
She is a Certified Business Analyst and
NxLevel Entrepreneurship Course instructor. She has
taught business and entrepreneurship classes in high
education and various non-profit organizations. She
also has completed the NBIA Incubator Management Certificate
Program. |

Maria
Rodriguez, Facilities Scheduler
Ms. Rodriguez is a graduate of The Interamerican University
with a B.A. in Public Administration. She has completed
the Excellence in Entrepreneurship Course at UCF,
and has a certificate of completion from the Small
Business Development Center at the Disney Enterprenerur
Center. She has completed the Certified Mediation
Course at UCF and is a Notary Public. She has fourteen
years of experience with the University of Central
Florida, and she is bi-lingual in English and Spanish.

Many people have helped to make the Orlando Business Development
Center, District 2 a success! Orlando City Commissioner
Betty T. Wyman, the City of Orlando, the Economic Development
Department, and the University of Central Florida have
all been instrumental in the development of the OBDC2.
