"Don't Miss The Joust"
3rd Annual Business Plan Tournament!
The Joust 3rd Annual Business Plan Tournament
will be held April 13-14, 2006 at the University of Central Florida's
(UCF) Student Union. In its third year, The Joust is the
first university-wide business plan competition at UCF. The
competition is open to students of all colleges and disciplines
and may include faculty, alumni and community entrepreneurs. Over
the two days, aspiring entrepreneurs will go head-to-head presenting
ideas for new ventures. The winners will leave with thousands
of dollars to launch their business.
All Joust teams have a chance to refine their
presentation skills and attract investors from among the judges,
which include seasoned entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and
executives from an array of entrepreneurial organizations in
the local business community.

Center (TEC)
The Technological Entrepreneurship Center
(TEC) seeks to provide educational opportunities to potential
entrepreneurs, inventors, and small business employees. The
organization facilitates academic research related to new
venture creation and success. The goal is to foster
a culture of entrepreneurship throughout the university and
provide a context where members of the business and academic
communities can explore their mutual interests.
