You have created great technology but can you sell it?
Many think that having a great business idea and great
technology is the key to launching a successful start-up.
Often founders forget or avoid the fact that the key purpose
of your business is to generate revenue and ultimately
a profit. No matter what your product or service is, you
are in the sales business and your main focus is generating
revenue. The majority of start-up teams have little or
no sales experience yet it is critical to learn the skills
necessary to find prospect clients, access decision makers
and close deals.
This session addresses learning how to target the right
customers for your early stage venture. We will then primarily
address how to find the right contacts and make the right
approach that will get you in the door at the highest levels,
giving you the best chance of a deal.
We will address these four basic principles:
- Understanding what customers are right for you
- Leverage the right tools for accessing names
- Getting by the gatekeepers with effective planning
and strong ROI estimates you can deliver
- Planning your first executive meeting to keep
the doors open to a deal
The session is designed to give you the right information
to be effective before you are able to hire a full
time sales staff. You will leave with a list of tools
that will help you to grow your knowledge of selling
your early stage technology and improve skills.
