University of Central Florida Technology Incubator Executive Key Speaker At European Technology Transfer Conference In Vienna

Orlando, Fla. (April 18, 2003) - Carol Ann Dykes, associate director of the University of Central Florida Technology Incubator, was a key speaker at the recent Technology Innovation Information (TII) annual conference in Vienna focusing on Euro-American technology transfers.

Dykes was invited to the conference to speak about her experiences at the University of Central Florida Technology Incubator and lead a workshop on entrepreneurship and incubation.

"The University of Central Florida Technology Incubator is one of the most successful programs of its kind in the U.S. and we are well on our way to becoming the model program for the nation," said Dykes. Conference organizers wanted to get an inside look at how the UCF program came to be.

The UCF Technology Incubator helps emerging technology companies commercialize and market their concepts. "Our goal is to identify potentially successful new technology companies and help them get established," said Dykes. Technical assistance can range from office space and computer time to marketing expertise and introductions to technology consumers such as U.S. defense and space executives.
