STBIC Director Appointed to UCF Technology Incubator Advisory Board

Sanford, Fla. - (September 4, 2003)—Wayne Hardy, Director of Small Business Development for Seminole Community College (SCC) has been appointed to the University of Central Florida (UCF) Technology Incubator's Advisory Board.

Mr. Hardy administers the Seminole Technology Business Incubation Center (STBIC) on behalf of SCC and its stakeholders, Seminole County and the Seminole County Port Authority. This appointment is another step in the efforts by UCF and SCC to continue to strengthen the relationship between the two programs.

"Mr. Hardy brings several decades of small business counseling and 'in the trenches' experience in various industries," said Tom O'Neal, CEO of the UCF Technology Incubator. "Appointing him to our Advisory Board further extends our partnership and underscores both institutions' commitment to economic development in Seminole County."

"This appointment solidifies our partnership with UCF and provides us with invaluable experience and lessons learned allowing us to constantly refine, enhance and offer top-quality small business and economic development programs to our clients and the community," said Hardy.

Both institutions hope to capitalize on the other's tried and true successes. Currently the UCF Technology Incubator maintains an office at the STBIC and will be placing 8-10 clients at the Sanford location.
