Orlando, Fla. (October 29, 2003) - Carol Ann Dykes, chief operating officer of the University of Central Florida Technology Incubator, was inducted as president of the National Association of Management and Technical Assistance Centers (NAMTAC) at the association's annual conference in Albany last week. NAMTAC is the leading professional organization for university-related economic development organizations.
Dykes said NAMTAC membership consists of university organizations, non-profits and other organizations that work in tandem with universities to provide business, technical and community development assistance with the end goal of economic growth.
Outgoing NAMTAC President, W. Sidney Johnson of Indiana University said, "I am very pleased that Carol Ann will be leading the Association next year to continue the initiatives she has helped us start. Carol Ann's experience, management skills and entrepreneurial energy will insure that the Association grows its programs and continues on solid footing. The membership and Board of Directors are very pleased she has agreed to serve as President."
