Partnership between UCF Technology Incubator and Seminole Technology Business Incubator Admits First New Tech Firm

Rapid Mold first to take advantage of expanded services through incubator partnership

Orlando, Fla. (November 18, 2003) - The University of Central Florida Technology Incubator and Seminole Technology Business Incubator Center recently welcomed the first joint tenant into the Sanford and Research Park incubator locations.

Carol Ann Dykes, chief operating officer of the UCF Technology Incubator, said Rapid Mold, Inc. has joined the technology incubator partnership and will be headquartered at the Sanford facility with an office in the Central Florida Research Park. Rapid Mold offers one stop design, engineering and prototyping services that help companies develop and commercialize their inventions.

"We believe our partnership with STBIC will evolve into a larger networked incubation program providing a rich menu of services and locations that ultimately increase our clients' chance of success," said Tom O'Neal, chief executive officer of the UCF Technology Incubator.

Wayne Hardy, director of STBIC said "We are pleased to share in the incubation of Rapid Mold and certainly see its potential for success through resources available here as well as our partnership with UCF."
