Minneapolis IT Firm Picks Central Florida Over San Diego;
Will Consolidate Company Operations Here

Orlando, Fla. (January 13, 2004) - A Minneapolis-based Information Technology (IT) firm, with operations in the United Kingdom has consolidated development and corporate operations in Orlando at the University of Central Florida Technology Incubator.

312, Inc. was incorporated in August 2002 with a mission to develop solutions that maximize the global creation of value and harness the power of the Internet. Three Twelve's™ flagship product, LeanOnMe™ is based on Sun Microsystems JAVA® and JXTA® technologies providing platform independent (Windows®, Unix®, Linux, Macintosh®) peer-to-peer data replication and backup capabilities. Three Twelve's LeanIndex™ tool gathers and filters information relevant to the user in near real time. LeanIndex enables a person's computer, for the first time, to continually search the Internet for news and information on key words that the user chooses. LeanIndex displays only relevant information eliminating the time consuming chore of sifting through the myriad of results presented by traditional search engines. The UK's Ministry of Defense, under licensing agreement, uses LeanIndex to search for open source news information in areas of interest.

"Orlando has a tremendously strong support structure for entrepreneurs," said Sean McCandless, chief technology officer of 312, Inc. "We were drawn to the activity at the Incubator and the hotbed of innovation, ideas and collaboration in Central Florida." McCandless added that the business-friendly environment, low taxes and quality of life were also factors in their decision to relocate.

"We're very excited about the addition of 312, Inc. to the Incubator," said Tom O'Neal, CEO of the Incubator. "Their products and expertise fit well with the existing clusters in the area and the university. We look forward to many mutually beneficial partnerships with 312, Inc. and Central Florida's IT Community."

Carol Ann Dykes, COO of the Incubator noted that Brian Neilson, founder and chief executive officer of 312, Inc., has existing partnerships with two UCF Technology Incubator firms, Digibelly, Inc. and Digital Ribbon. "They originally planned to open in San Diego until they comparison shopped and Orlando won hands down," Dykes explained. "They found a thriving technology industry here in Central Florida that surprised them."
