Orlando, Fla. (February 5, 2004) - Wolf Consulting, Inc., an information security services firm, and a participant in the University of Central Florida Technology Incubator today announced the acquisition of RadioTrac Corporation, a company formed in 2000 and headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts. RadioTrac is the low-cost market leader for design and manufacturing of radio-based Advanced Personnel/Vehicle Location (APL/AVL) systems to the Telematics industry.
The acquisition greatly enhances WOLF Consulting's current telecommunications/information security service offerings. Many of WOLF's customers are being required to develop real-time tracking and monitoring solutions for Homeland Security compliance. RadioTrac's low-cost GPS-capable products are a great fit for those customers, who often operate on very limited budgets.
"The RadioTrac acquisition provides a number of benefits to our customers and to Wolf Consulting," said James Wolf, President/CEO of Wolf Consulting. "In addition to providing low-cost products complementary to those services we already market, we gain access to CyTerra's (the selling company) advanced R&D expertise."
WOLF Consulting, Inc. ("WOLF") was founded in 2002 to provide Information Security Services. Its founders bring more than 60 years of telecommunications engineering and consulting expertise to their clients. WOLF provides INFOSEC, Threat Assessment, IV&V, NICAP/DITSCAP Certification, and Telecommunication Engineering Design and Consulting.
