Funding Opportunties for Emerging High-Growth Technology Companies At Innovation Florida 2004

WHAT: The University of Central Florida Technology Incubator (UCFTI) and the Central Florida Innovation Corporation (CFIC) present the eighth annual Early Stage Capital Conference: Innovation Florida 2004. Sponsors include Akerman Senterfitt, Business Wire, Florida Venture Forum, Metro Orlando EDC and the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Innovation Florida 2004 connects the hottest early stage technology companies with private investors, venture capitalists and financiers for an exclusive financial and business development event. The conference provides high-growth technology companies with the opportunity to showcase their investment opportunities, while gaining insight on the latest venture capital investment trends and cutting edge technologies.

Six regional partners have been recruited from across the state of Florida, to assist with recruiting companies and promoting the conference. These partners include: Enterprise Development Corporation of South Florida, Enterprise Development Council of Collier County/Gulf Coast Venture Forum, Enterprise Development Council of Tallahassee/Leon County, Enterprise North Florida Corporation, Tampa Bay Technology Forum and the University of Florida.

WHEN: Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at The Ballroom at Church Street, located at
225 South Garland Avenue, Orlando, FL 32801.

COST: Register on or before August 15th and receive $50 off admission! Seating is limited!
Early registration: $235 per person Register after August 15th: $285 per person

DETAILS: Startups and existing companies who are seeking "first outside" equity financing should apply for consideration to present. Candidate companies must be technology-based, headquartered in Florida, be capable of achieving $25 million in revenue after five years of growth and the company must have a minimum of $250,000 in prior investment or cash flow. Six regional partners are assisting CFIC and the UCFTI in selecting companies for presenting at Innovation Florida 2004. Applications must be returned to the appropriate regional conference representative.
