Orlando, Fla. - July 1, 2004…Enterprise Systems Associates, a client of the University of Central Florida Technology Incubator, has carved a major niche for itself linking global software developers with U.S. corporate customers.
Jim Tula, a principal in the firm, said Enterprise Systems is the exclusive U.S. distributor for several software vendors based in Sweden, Germany, Australia and Brazil. The middleware software products target multi-billion dollar corporate users such as banking and financial institutions.
"We represent NetPhantom from Tieto Enator, which offers a software solution that provides legacy to web enablement," he continued. "The software is robust enough to support major banking and financial institutions in Europe and we are finding similar applications here in the U.S."
UBS Hainer, a German firm, provides middleware tools for companies that use DB2, an IBM database. Enterprise Systems provides tools to allow U.S. customers to clone their databases, which is especially important for customers running "People Software" and large DB2 systems.
Eccox, based in , Brazil, makes quality control products for large DB2 systems that are marketed by Enterprise Systems Associates in the U.S.
Enterprise Systems Associates also provides professional services such as application development, application maintenance, networking and network management for such global brands as MCI World Com, Chrysler Corporation, Network Dynamics and others.
Tula said a growing segment of the firm's business is the development of unique, proprietary software and turnkey systems for its corporate customers.
"We are developing a data management support system for a major U.S. retail corporation," Tula said. A non-disclosure agreement prohibits him from revealing concrete details of the system. "This is a next generation service support system that will give our clients a significant competitive edge in the global marketplace," he added.
Tula said the University of Central Florida Technology Incubator has been a boon for the company, which launched in 2001. "The UCF Technology Incubator facilitated our partnerships with organizations that expanded our services and enabled us to go after much bigger more lucrative customers,".
