Orlando, Fla. --- Frank Hailstones, president and chief executive
officer of Axena, Inc., an Orlando firm that specializes in development
of sophisticated corporate governance software, has been invited
to speak at the Institute of Internal Auditors All-Star Conference
Showcase during the group’s conference in Las Vegas, Oct.
18-25.
Hailstones plans to present a blueprint for achieving an appropriate
level of documentation for compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley
Act, which holds corporate CEOs responsible for their firms’ filings.
Hailstones was selected by conference officials for the excellence
of his presentation. Referring to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Hailstones
said, “Many public companies were overwhelmed by the documentation
requirement of the Act or were overly cautious in their compliance
approach,” explained Hailstones. “However, there are
proven methods for evaluating and implementing control documentation
that will not only allow companies to achieve compliance but that
will also uncover areas of high risk and even opportunities for
growth.”
Axena ranks as one of the world’s leading producers of corporate
governance software.
