AppliCote Associates relocates to Seminole Technology Business
Incubator Center in Sanford

Sanford, Fla. (April 13, 2005) --- AppliCote Associates, LLC, A client company of the UCF Technology Incubator (UCFTI) in the Central Florida Research Park, has relocated to the Seminole Technology Business Incubator Center (STBIC), 1445 Dolgner Pl., off Orange Blvd. at the Port of Sanford. AppliCote will continue to be a client of the UCF Technology Incubator.

Nat Quick, founder and chief executive officer of AppliCote, said the firm's relocation makes it more cost-effective. It also allows the company to take advantage of the partnership between the UCFTI and the STBIC. AppliCote will be able to utilize resources and services of both Incubator programs.

“Most technology subcontractors we work with are located in DeLand, DeBary and the Oviedo area,” Quick said, “and our new STBIC location puts us closer to our center of the action.” Quick said AppliCote will continue to work closely with the UCF Center for Research and Education in Optics and Lasers (CREOL).

“Some of the work we are engaged in with CREOL can't be done anywhere else,” said Quick. “They've promised I'll still have a parking space at the UCF Technology Incubator and CREOL and we'll be utilizing all their programs and consultants,“ he added.

“Seminole County is developing a strong entrepreneurial community and UCF is pleased to partner with them.,” said Tom O'Neal, Chief Executive Officer of the UCF Technology Incubator. “That is why we formed the partnership with STBIC last year. It enables us to work together to assist young technology companies. The success of those companies brings benefit to the whole region.”

AppliCote, which opened in 2003, has developed technologies critical to next-generation semi-conductors used in the communications and power control industries.
