Orlando, Fla., (April 25, 2005) - Executives from
the University of Central Florida Technology Incubator (UCFTI)
will participate in professional conferences in Baltimore, Maryland
and Goteborg, Sweden in May to share their knowledge and insights
on business incubation.
Dr. Tom O'Neal, associate vice president of research and chief
executive officer of the UCFTI, will take part in the National
Business Incubation Association's (NBIA) 19 th international conference
in Baltimore to be held May 15-18. O'Neal chairs the University
Incubator Forum for the NBIA and will lead a meeting of the Forum
members at the conference. The NBIA is the world's largest incubator
industry association with members from around the world.
Carol Ann Dykes, chief operating officer of the UCFTI, will participate
in a conference sponsored by the Chalmers Institute of Technology
Center for Intellectual Property (CIP) in Goteborg, Sweden May
22-25. The CIP Forum 2005 will be held in conjunction with Goteborg
University and will highlight corporate and academic strategies
for effective intellectual property management and commercialization.
Dykes will co-lead a workshop on building effective incubators.
