Perceptive Technologies Software Enables New Home Buyers to “See” Décor, Design Options in Their Home Before Buying

Orlando, Fla. (October 10, 2006)--- New home buyers in Florida spend an average of about $70,000 on interior décor and design options — one reason why most new home builders have opened new home design centers that cater to buyers with comfortable settings and interior décor specialists on staff.

Perceptive Technologies LLC has launched a web-based software application — See Your DécorTM — that allows new home buyers to “see” their interior décor and options choices positioned in their new home before they buy.

“Home builders invest huge amounts to help home buyers visualize options and features such as counter-tops, furnishings, window, wall, ceiling and floor treatments, appliances, fireplaces, and the like,” said Mark Petrovich, business analyst at Perceptive Technologies.

“With out fully customizable application, a builder can do all that quickly and easily with a computer screen. The buyer can mix-and-match décor and options items in a user-friendly environment with eye-appealing high definition graphics,” said Petrovich.

Petrovich said See Your Décor TM can be customized to provide ‘virtual’ looks at exteriors as well as interiors. “A customer can simply and easily view all the different elevation options, and can even change options such as adding a dormer to a roofline,” he said.

See Your Décor TM is so user-friendly it’s not necessary to provide an operator. “Virtual Home CreatorTM can be operated by the home buyer,” Petrovich said.  Customers can print their selections prior to the design center appointment.

Perceptive Technologies projects sales to home builders could top $30 million, and markets such as carpet, roof, tile and furnishings manufacturers could be even greater.
Builders — or home buyers — can visit a ‘live’ demonstration of See Your Décor TM on the Internet now at www.seeyourdecor.com.
