ORLANDO, Fla. (March 13, 2006) – Ascenda Inc., an Orlando-based
technology company and a client of the University of Central Florida
Technology Incubator, has developed free-standing interactive Customer
Center Kiosks that will allow drivers to tell Central Florida transportation
officials where to build new roads and where improvements in customer
service are needed.
Gaidi Hartage, founder and chief executive officer of Ascenda,
stated he recently presented the interactive kiosks to the Orange
County Expressway Authority Board. The first two kiosks will be
deployed at the Expressway Authority’s East Service Center
on Goldenrod Road and the West Service Center on Colonial Drive
for public feedback and survey information.
Plans call for additional kiosks to be deployed in area malls
in the future. Ascenda also plans to design a modified version
of the kiosk that will allow users to provide feedback via the
Expressway Authority website at well.
“We have had a great experience working with the Orange
County Expressway Authority to design and deploy the Customer Center
Kiosk,” Hartage said. “We look forward to the opportunity
to develop additional kiosk applications for them and make it easier
for local residents to interact with the Authority.”
Last year, Ascenda developed web-based kiosk systems and software
for use by LYNX Transportation and the Orange County History Center.
