ORLANDO, Fla. (May 26, 2006) --- THEOWAG
Ltd., a European technology transfer company, has established its
North American division in Orlando at the University of Central
Florida Technology Incubator.
THEOWAG North America is introducing a line of environmentally
friendly technologies with a focus on industrial cleaning services,
industrial and household chemicals and clean energy that uses biomass
waste.
John Grams, Director of Sales & Marketing at THEOWAG North
America - and a UCF graduate –
said a partnership with CHEMIE X 2000, a German firm, gives THEOWAG
access to more than 760 biodegradable chemical products designed
to resolve environmental and waste management issues.
Greenpeace used one of those products in 1989 to help clean up
the Exxon-Valdez tanker oil spill.
“We are in the process of entering the highly competitive
U.S. industrial cleaning market by launching industry-proven, reusable,
non-corrosive chemical products with closed-loop circulation processes
that help American oil refineries and petrochemical plants to drastically
reduce shutdowns for cleaning, improve labor safety, minimize environmental
impact and increase profitability,” Grams said.
THEOWAG is also focusing on energy generation. “We are currently
seeking a strategic energy partner to help us build the first high-yield,
power-and-hydrogen generating mobile prototype using Florida citrus
waste as feedstock and without producing any emissions by utilizing
a revolutionary hybrid gasification process,” Grams said.
The company will unveil its plans at the upcoming PowerGen International
Conference at the Orange County Convention Center in December.
“THEOWAG aims to become a leader in technology transfers.” Grams
said. “Once we establish a US market presence with
our current products, we will pursue additional partnerships with
UCF to further develop and commercialize other technologies.”
