MyDocHub.Com Reports 120,000 Monthly Visits from Patients Who Tell on Their Doctors

ORLANDO, Fla. (July 2, 2007) – Orlando based MyDocHub.com reports it is accommodating an average of 120,000 monthly web site visits from patients who want to tell on their doctors.

Dafe Ojaide, chief executive officer of MyDocHub.com, said site visits have increased dramatically since the Internet firm began adding new user-friendly features after the start of the year.

Ojaide, who was born in Nigeria, co-founded MyDocHub.com late last year with Ning Yu, a 29-year-old Chinese student at UCF.

At MyDocHub.com, patients anonymously review and rate their experiences at doctors’ offices based on punctuality, waiting room times, total time spent in the office and staff efficiency.

Recently, MyDocHub.com has added new features, including a text message doctor’s appointment reminder, a list of insurance plans each physician accepts and a directory that links physicians with any disciplinary actions on their record.

“MyDocHub.com was designed to give patients more control of the patient-doctor relationship,” Ojaide explained.

Ojaide came to the U.S. to learn to become a pilot.  After receiving his MBA degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach in 1999, he decided to go into business instead.  MyDocHub.com founder Yu is a UCF Doctorial candidate in computer science.

With $50,000 in start up money, Ojaide and Yu launched MyDocHub.com in Orlando, but they plan to take it national.  The site includes health-related videos and a health blog, Ojaide said.

The site is free to the user, but Ojaide said MyDocHub.com will solicit advertising from doctors, pharmaceutical firms and other medical related entities.

MyDocHub is a client of the UCF Technology incubator.
