ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 30, 2008) --- Dr. Tom O'Neal, director of the University of Central Florida's award-winning Incubation Program,
has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the National Business Incubation Association.
Dr. O'Neal founded the UCF Technology Incubator in 1999. The UCF Incubation Program now includes the Downtown Orlando Incubator; the
Orlando Business Development Center/District 2 Incubator; the Photonics Incubator; the UCF Technology Incubator; and the UCF Incubator-Seminole
County/Winter Springs.
The UCF Incubation Program now serves more than 100 startup and growth companies in the Central Florida region.
O'Neal said his temporary appointment fills a vacancy on the board. In one year, O'Neal will stand for election to a permanent
seat on the board beginning in 2010.
The National Business Incubation Association is the nation's leading trade association and serves more than 960 business and technology
incubation programs nationwide.
