ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 25, 2008) --- KICKgen.com
has parlayed martial arts and web 2.0 technology together with
feature film producers Innovative Renderworx, and Action Actor
Institute, Fighting Stunts, to produce an online action
actor audition.
Tracy McCoy, chief operating officer for KICKgen.com, said the
web based specialty network issued a call for actor auditions
Feb. 6 through March 31 to find two martial artists who will
play action actor roles in an upcoming PG-13 feature film titled,
Templar: Honor among Thieves (www.Templar-Movie.com).
“The audition is open to every KICKgen.com premier member who has
attained the rank of red or brown belt or higher,” McCoy said. For
more information or to learn more about the audition, visit www.KICKgen.com.
The upcoming film, directed by Rene Hinojosa, is a spaghetti
western of sorts according to the film’s producers. It
will follow the adventures of four fortune hunters---an antihero,
a femme fatale, a thief and a mercenary---in their quest to
claim “the ultimate prize.”
KICKgen.com, which opened for business last October, is an international
internet community devoted to martial artists of all styles.
“KICKgen.com was launched by martial arts industry leaders with more
than 20 years of experience for a love of martial arts and a desire to help
unite martial artists internationally,” explained McCoy.
