BioTraits Acquires Orlando-based Reliable Tech Experts

ORLANDO, Fla., (March xx, 2009) --- BioTraits Inc., a biometric technology company in Orlando that provides customized software and hardware solutions for time & attendance tracking, and security access control and other identification/authentification needs, has agreed to acquire Reliable Tech Experts, Inc., also based in Orlando.

Peter A. Wengert, president of BioTraits Inc., said the acquisition completes BioTraits’ strategy of integrating cutting edge security, biometrics, and IT services.

“The integration of security, access and time and project management demands we play a leadership role in network and computer services management,” said Wengert.

“Cyber crime is an increasingly prominent concern and our new combination of products and services can offer companies a gold standard of security and management control,” Wengert added.

Wengert said the merger provides BioTraits with a strong client base for existing products and a staff of computer and network experts for its call center.

Roberto Torres, founder of Reliable Tech Experts, will become Chief Information Office for BioTraits.

Both firms are minority-owned.
