ORLANDO, Fla. (June 2, 2009)--- EPIC Engineering & Consulting Group, LLC (EPIC) was recently awarded a contract to provide data and process management tools that will help streamline operations at Family Services of Metro Orlando.
EPIC will design and develop a comprehensive software application called the Integrated Resources Information System (IRIS) which will serve as a comprehensive information management system that allows Family Services’ staff to efficiently manage targeted programs such as Diversion, Prevention and Utilization Management.
Prasad Chittaluru, founder and principal of EPIC Engineering & Consulting Group, said “IRIS will serve as a “one-stop” information access point for Family Services’ staff, stakeholders and partners. Family Services has chosen this system to fully link and integrate data currently existing in different places across its infrastructure and to eliminate redundancy in data entry across various units.”
IRIS will result in improved efficiency in business processes and reduce the time spent by Family Services’ staff and stakeholders in documenting and retrieving critical information required for providing services to vulnerable children and families.
“With the development of this program, we will have the ability to better track and monitor our programs to evaluate their effectiveness and impact in our community,” stated Greg Kurth, CEO of Family Services of Metro Orlando. “The system will also help our staff and partners reduce the time spent on data entry, and allow them to focus more on direct services to the children and families of central Florida.”
EPIC is a University of Central Florida Business Incubation Program client at the Technology Incubator in Research Park.
