Florida
High Tech Corridor Council
The Florida High Tech Corridor Council (FHTCC) was established
by the Legislature in 1996 to attract, retain and grow high tech
industry and to help develop the workforce to support those industries
in the 21-county service areas of the University of Central Florida
(UCF) and the University of South Florida (USF). In January 2005,
the Council welcomed the University of Florida (UF) as a full
partner of this unique economic development initiative, merging
the strengths of three world-class universities and bringing
the number of Corridor counties to 23.

As an Independent Special District of the state of Florida,
the TRDA leverages funding from federal, state and private resources
to develop and implement technology-based programs across four
target areas: education, business
incubation, energy and technology
transfer. By infusing new technology into Florida businesses
and schools, the TRDA helps to strengthen the economy and education
throughout the state and nation.

for Economic Competitiveness
A
new economic forecast is produced and distributed
by the Institute every quarter. Each
edition provides updated economic information
that is vital to the academic, government, and
business communities. Information from the forecast is
included in exclusive panels including the USA Today
Survey of Top Economists, Livingston Survey, Survey
of Professional Forecasters, Reuters, and Bloomberg
monthly surveys.

University Economic Development is here to assist technology-based
companies explore opportunities here at UCF. UCF has the connections
that can help identify opportunities that can help a company
